Many of you are really becoming comfortable with the whole Paleo lifestyle…or at least it makes sense and you just haven’t gotten around to changing over quite yet. No worries, you will. But in the meantime, you all have questions – as you should! Your first resource to seek out in these instances should be your trusty CrossFit Coach. That’s what I’m here for…no really, it is. You are all welcome to text/email/call me with any sort of question that you have. Wait a tick, let me back up for a second – you are welcome to contact me with any question that is health and/or fitness related. I don’t want no baby-mama-drama!
With that being said, I also know that a lot of you prefer to do some at-home research to learn on your own – and that is awesome! A word of caution though, the internet is full of way too much bogus info. Something that I have found very helpful when hunting for info on a nutrition topic is to simply put the tag ‘paleo’ after it. That way, you are gathering (see what I just did there – hunter/gatherer?) info from more reliable resources than the general internet clowns. Now, it should go without saying, but I’ll say it anyway, use your noggin when you come across info that just doesn’t seem right. Check multiple sources. Our Nutrition Resources link at the top of our page has a TON of great websites that are all trustworthy – become familiar with them and use them often. Robb Wolf, Gary Taubes, Kurt Harris, and Chris Kresser are some of the best in the biz, so please learn from those guys as much as you can.
Most importantly, keep in mind that there is absolutely, positively no one-size-fits-all “diet” (HATE that word) for everyone. We all respond a bit differently to certain foods, but the following guiding template holds true:
“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and NO sugar.”
A. Skill:
3RM Weighted Pull-Up
B. WOD:
10min AMRAP
12 Pull-Ups
12 Pistols
12 HR Push-Ups
