Well folks, tonight we’re taking a momentary break from the post series about cardio so that I can brag on this very special Valentine’s Day.
For those that don’t know, one year ago today Mandy and I were blessed to welcome a sweet baby boy into this world. At 6:42PM, we saw Jesse Gabriel, all 7lbs 4oz, for the first time. It’s hard to believe that one year has flown by so fast. It is utterly amazing to see how much he has grown over this past year. Many of you have seen it as well…even if he’s not at the gym as frequently as we’d all like. There is nothing quite like coming home to your own little boy…especially when he finally recognizes YOU as ‘daddy.’ All you parents out there can appreciate everything that I have said!
Ok, ok, I promise not to bore you all with a bunch of sappy V-Day stuff, but I do have to say that I love that I can pretty much write about whatever I please…haha! Seriously though, Valentine’s Day never meant all that much to me or Mandy. But now, it’ll never be the same.
“For this child we have prayed, and the Lord hath granted what we asked of him.” 1 Samuel 1:27
From our family to yours, hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day! In the spirit of the holiday, how about we do a benchmark?!
