Fill out the form to get started
Meet Mya.
One of the hardest working athletes I know.
Definitely the most joyful.
She’s been training with me for over a year now—through ACL rehab, a fractured hip, two competitive seasons, and now a new chapter ahead: she’s officially signed to run cross-country and track at Palm Beach Atlantic. @Ppbauniver
When we first started, she wasn’t sure she could get back to where she’d been.
Physically, she had a lot to rebuild.
Mentally, even more.
She loves to train—so much so that I often had to slow her down, not speed her up.
We focused on stability. Control.
Then slowly layered in strength and force absorption.
It wasn’t just about getting stronger.
It was about building trust—in her body, in the process, in herself.
The wins?
They came. PRs. Unexpected race successes.
But the real victories were quieter:
Staying healthy through an entire cross-country season. Through basketball. Through moments that would’ve broken a lesser spirit.
What impresses me most?
She never cheats a rep. Never skips the boring stuff.
From warm-up to cooldown, she’s locked in. And always smiling.
Even after a bad race, she’d come in asking questions.
“What can I learn from that?”
“How can I grow from here?”
That kind of curiosity?
It makes me better, too.
This summer, we’re building again.
Preparing her to step onto a college team, into a higher level of competition—with more trust in her foundation than ever before.
The process has been long.
The setbacks real.
But the pursuit never stopped.
And that’s what makes her special.
Not just her speed.
But her staying power.
Proud of this Sailfish
