Because being “cleared” isn’t the same as being ready to compete. That gap — between medical clearance and true game-readiness — is one of the most misunderstood phases in sports performance.

And if you get it wrong, the risk of reinjury skyrockets.


The Gray Zone No One Talks About

Most people think the return-to-play process is binary: “Injured” or “Not Injured.”

But there’s a messy middle:

  • Strength has returned, but not power
  • Range of motion is fine, but movement is awkward
