Hand Care pt.3 7/10/12

Today, we’re going deeper into hand care. I know you all want to have the softest, most supple hands in the world – so there are a few things you’ll need to do to take care of those paws. Our friends over at CrossFit Virtuosity put together a list of a few essential items you’ll need to keep your hands smooth: a pumice stone, callus shaver, and lotion. Guys, if you’re married, steal these from your wife. If you’re single, tell the guy at Walgreens you’re shopping for your wife…or tell him to come check out CrossFit to see why your hands are all banged up!
 
In short, you want to keep your callused hands as flat and smooth as possible. The big callus bumps are what cause your hands to tear and bleed. The pumice stone is a great first defense for those that can keep up consistent maintenance. If you wait until things get too bad, then the callus shaver is for you! And finally lotion…this puts the moisture back into your hands that is removed by all that chalk.
