To say we had an eventful weekend at CrossFit For Glory would be an understatement. After kicking off Memorial Day weekend with a Friday benchmark, we opened Saturday by joining in with the local CrossFit community in performing the BethMode WODs.
Holy cow was this one of the most challenging days that we’ve had at the box in a long time. But in keeping things in perspective, it was NOTHING compared to the challenges that lie ahead for Beth Caldwell and her family. I cannot begin to express how proud I am of our CFG community. In just over an hour on Saturday, we were able to raise over $800 in donations. Take a look at some of the pictures from that day. To all of those who gave of their time and/or money, thank you. We simply have the BEST community of people around. Period.

After a much needed day of recovery, we had over 50 (FIFTY) people make it back to the box for our traditional Memorial Day “Murph” WOD. Along with hundreds of thousands of other CrossFitters around the world, we took just a small chunk out of our busy lives to honor not just Lt. Michael P. Murphy, but ALL of the men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Following a tear-jerking speech by Coach Jay Bradley, we all set off to suffer a short time together.
To the families of those who have lost loved ones in the fight for our freedom, Thank You.
We will never forget.
